Inappropriate
images in the workplace are more than just a nuisance; their presence
on corporate computers and their dissemination through a network
can have severe consequences for an organisation, including exposure
to criminal and civil litigation, brand damage, financial loss and
breach of corporate policies.
PixAlert
provides products and services to help companies protect employees
and others from exposure to illicit image material and prevent potential
civil or criminal proceedings caused by illegal images being resident
on corporate IT resources. PixAlert’s enterprise software is unique
in that it not only stops inappropriate and illegal Web-based images,
but also safeguards against these illicit images originating from
any source
PixAlert
customers gain effective solutions which comply with legislation,
enforce corporate policies, enhance the working environment, improve
operational efficiency, protect against civil or criminal proceedings
and brand damage.
- Exposure
to reputational risk - Damage caused by exposure of an incident
involving illegal or illicit images held on corporate computers
can be much more extensive than the potential financial exposure
of a civil law suit; damage to brand and reputation and threat
of criminal proceedings against senior executives can significantly
affect a company’s ability to trade.
- Compliance
- There are a myriad of legislative measures with which companies
must comply, some carrying severe penalties for non-compliance.
Employee compliance to policies can be difficult to monitor and
enforce.
PixAlert
provides an unparalleled range of products and services aimed at
protecting the organisation and its employees from exposure to illegal
and inappropriate images
PixAlert
Monitor: is resident on all corporate computer assets,
watching screen content for inappropriate or illegal image content.
If the image is considered to contain a high likelihood of pornographic
content then the Monitor software has the ability to blur the image
prior to it being displayed on the screen. Regardless of the source,
when an improper image is viewed, a record is created in a machine
specific audit log and an alert is sent to the administrator console
as soon as the computer in question connects to the corporate network.
When an alert is received, a thumbnail representation of the image,
along with the machine name, username, date-time and the program
used can be viewed by the designated administrator who can initiate
appropriate action. PixAlert Monitor provides active compliance
with existing corporate policies and objectives.
PixAlert
Auditor: is a fully featured image scanning and image
incident management tool designed to detect illicit images on corporate
IT resources such as desktop computers, network servers, notebook
PCs and email servers.
The software carries out a full audit scan of image material stored
on a corporate computer asset and ranks them on the basis of their
inappropriateness. Suspect images, which transgress a pre-defined
threshold, are automatically presented to the designated administrator
in a user-friendly gallery. The scan provides a full report on its
findings and the administrator can add any inappropriate images
found to a case file.
